Overview#

A multi-platform wireless controller compatible with Switch, PC, Android, and Apple devices, featuring three connection methods: Bluetooth, wireless receiver, and cable. It includes two programmable back buttons, two trigger gear switches, a gyroscope, and an optional charging dock.

Requirements: Switch, Windows 10, or Android 8.0 or later, or iOS 13 or later.

Connection and Playback#

To power off, press and hold the Logo button for five seconds. To check the current input mode, press and hold the M button; the mode color will appear on the indicator.

Auto power-off: Ten minutes without use while connected, one minute while in pairing mode, and three minutes while in reconnection mode.

Connecting to PC#

1. Wired Connection: Use the included Type-C cable to connect the controller to the PC; a solid Logo indicator means the connection is successful.
2. Bluetooth Connection: Press and hold the B button and the Logo button for two seconds until the indicator flashes blue, then release your finger.
3. Open the Bluetooth menu on the PC, search for the device named "Wireless Controller", and click it to connect; a solid indicator means the connection is successful.
4. Connecting via Receiver: Insert the receiver into the PC port; its indicator will start flashing.
5. Press and hold the X button and the Logo button for two seconds until the indicator flashes green, then release your finger and wait for the connection; success is indicated by both the controller and receiver indicators remaining solid.
6. If pairing fails, press and hold the Logo button and the Share button for two seconds to return to pairing mode, then press the pairing button on the receiver to reconnect.

Connecting to Switch#

1. From the main menu on the Switch, go to the Controllers menu then Change Grip/Order, and wait on this screen.
2. Press and hold the Y button and the Logo button for two seconds until the indicator flashes red, then release your finger and wait for the connection.
3. A solid indicator means the connection is successful.
4. If pairing fails, press and hold the Logo button and the Share button for two seconds to return to pairing mode.

Connecting to Android Devices#

1. Press and hold the A button and the Logo button for two seconds until the indicator flashes yellow, then release your finger.
2. Open the Bluetooth menu on the phone, search for the device named "GameSir-Cyclone 2", and click it to connect.
3. A solid indicator means the connection is successful.
4. If pairing fails, press and hold the Logo button and the Share button for two seconds to return to pairing mode.

Connecting to Apple Devices#

1. Press and hold the B button and the Logo button for two seconds until the indicator flashes blue, then release your finger.
2. Open the Bluetooth menu on the device, search for the device named "DUOLSHOK 4 Wireless Controller", and click it to connect.
3. A solid indicator means the connection is successful.
4. The Logo indicator color can be changed from the device settings via Settings > General > Game Controller.

Indicator States#

Input Modes and Indicator Colors#

The Logo button combined with one of the face buttons determines the input mode.

Button Combinations#

Function	Combination
Enable or disable hair-trigger mode. Once enabled, the Logo indicator flashes when the trigger is pressed. The setting remains saved after restart.	M button + LT or RT trigger for two seconds

Programming Back Buttons#

The back buttons have no default values and accept a single button or a button combination. Buttons that can be mapped are A, B, X, Y, LB, RB, LT, RT, LS, RS, View button, Menu button, D-pad, Left stick, and Right stick.

1. To assign a function: Press and hold the M button and the L4 or R4 back button until the Logo indicator flashes slowly in white.
2. Press the button or button combination to be mapped, then press the back button again; the indicator returning to the mode color means setup is complete.
3. In combinations, the interval between each button press is recorded as you entered it during programming.
4. To cancel: Press and hold the M button and the back button until the indicator flashes slowly, then press the back button again; the indicator returning to the mode color means cancellation is complete.
5. If the setup duration exceeds ten seconds, the controller saves and exits automatically.

Turbo Setup#

Turbo has four modes: slow (8Hz), medium (12Hz), fast (20Hz), and off. Buttons compatible with Turbo are A, B, X, Y, LB, RB, LT, and RT.

1. To enable: Press and hold the M button, then press the button you want to enable Turbo on; it will start in slow mode.
2. Repeat the same process to cycle through modes: slow, medium, fast, then off.
3. To cancel completely: Press the M button twice in quick succession.
4. When Turbo is enabled on a button, the Logo indicator flashes continuously.
5. The setting remains saved after restart.

Calibration#

Stick and Trigger Calibration#

1. Press and hold the View button, Menu button, and Logo button until the Logo indicator flashes slowly in white.
2. Ensure you do not touch the LT and RT triggers or the sticks, then press the A button; the Logo indicator will turn off.
3. Press the LT and RT triggers to their maximum travel, rotate the sticks at their maximum angle in full circles three times for each, then press the A button; the indicator lighting up again means calibration is complete.

Gyroscope Calibration#

1. Place the controller horizontally on a flat surface.
2. Press and hold the M button and the Share button for three seconds; the Logo indicator will flash red and blue alternately and rapidly.
3. The Logo indicator returning to the mode color means calibration is complete.

Reset#

1. If abnormal behavior occurs or if the controller cannot be turned on or off, use a thin tool like a SIM card ejector pin.
2. Press the reset button inside the circular hole on the back of the controller to force a power-off.

Companion Software and Firmware Update#

1. Go to the official website or Microsoft Store to download the GameSir Connect software.
2. Use the software to update firmware, adjust stick and trigger ranges, lighting effects, vibration intensity, and remap/test buttons.
3. Connect the controller to the software via the receiver or cable while in XInput mode, as the software does not recognize it in DS4 or NS mode via Bluetooth.
4. The official FAQ page notes that receiver operation requires compatible firmware versions: version 1.1.9 or later for the receiver, and version 3.4.4 or later for the controller.

Charging and Battery#

FAQ#

Connection via receiver drops

Ensure firmware versions are compatible: version 1.1.9 or later for the receiver, and version 3.4.4 or later for the controller. Update both via GameSir Connect. Strong Bluetooth signals or thick objects between the devices may also cause drops; move the receiver closer to the controller or use an extension cable for the port.

Which software should I use, and why doesn't GameSir Nexus recognize the controller?

Use the GameSir Connect software and connect the controller via the receiver or cable in XInput mode.

Stick drifts or trigger does not respond correctly

Perform stick and trigger calibration as described in the calibration section, and check the calibration video published on the official support page.

Buttons press themselves constantly and the red indicator flashes

The Turbo feature is enabled. Press the M button twice in quick succession to turn it off.

I cannot connect via Bluetooth or receiver and the indicator flashes slowly

Press and hold the Logo button and the Share button for two seconds to return to pairing mode; the indicator will flash rapidly. If using the receiver, press the pairing button on it to reconnect.

Firmware update failed and the controller is unresponsive

Press the reset button inside the circular hole on the back of the controller with a thin tool to force a power-off, then restart.

The indicator is not green when connected to PC and the game is not working correctly

You may have accidentally switched to DS4 or NS mode. Press and hold the View button and the Menu button to cycle through modes. The green light is XInput, which is most commonly used with PC.

The stick moves on its own when I set the dead zone to zero

Zero is a physically ideal dead zone, making the stick highly sensitive. Set the value between three and five for normal behavior.

How do I know the current input mode?

Press and hold the M button; the mode color will appear on the Logo indicator: blue for DS4, green for XInput, red for NS, and yellow for HID.

The controller turns off by itself

This is the auto power-off behavior: ten minutes without use while connected, one minute while in pairing mode, and three minutes while in reconnection mode.
