FAQ

What devices are supported?

Android devices and other devices ranging from 110 to 180 mm in length.

Is the connection wired or wireless?

Connection is via a Type-C port, which provides very low latency. Note: The specification table on the same page mentions Bluetooth, which is a contradiction within the source.

Does it have a battery?

No, it is a wired controller powered directly from the phone and does not require charging.

How do I turn the cooler on or off?

The cooler starts working automatically when the cable is connected to the controller; power can be adjusted by pressing the S button + D-pad Up or Down.

Does it support pass-through charging?

Yes, and it can be enabled or disabled by pressing the S button + D-pad Right.

What are the stick advantages?

Hall Effect sticks work with non-contact magnetic sensors so they do not wear out or drift, and they feature anti-friction glide rings for very smooth movement.

Does it have analog triggers?

No, the triggers have micro-switches for faster response with an esports feel.

What are the cooler advantages?

900mm² cooling plate with a maximum effective cooling power of 12W, ensuring the phone does not overheat after long sessions or in hot weather.

Does it have vibration motors?

Yes, a vibration motor in each grip for an experience close to home game consoles.

Does it have a gyroscope?

Yes, a built-in 6-axis gyroscope for motion control and increased precision.

What is the benefit of the detachable grip set?

They attach to the back of the controller or detach easily; attaching them provides a grip close to home game consoles, and removing them reduces weight.

Fast cooling mode is not working

Ensure the charger and cable support 9V and 3A or more, adjust the cooling power level according to the manual, then change the phone and charging cable connection order: Connect the charger to the controller port first until the fan starts, then attach the phone. Max cooling mode requires 9V and 3A (27W or more).

Android phone not connecting and indicator is flashing or not lighting up

Ensure the connector is fully inserted, remove the phone case if attached, enable the direct connection feature in phone settings (common in Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, Realme, and iQOO devices), and enable USB debugging. If the problem persists, try the controller with another phone.

Stick drifting or trigger not working correctly

Press the G, S, and Logo buttons together until the mode indicator flashes white to enter calibration mode, rotate the sticks to their maximum range three times, then press A to exit; the indicator will return to its normal color.

Buttons and sticks not working when connected to Apple device

This is caused by the AssistiveTouch feature being enabled on the device. Go to Settings > Accessibility > Touch > AssistiveTouch and disable it.

Customization in Direct touch mode feels laggy or unstable

The mode that Direct touch is based on has limits imposed by the connection protocol; its performance is slightly lower than other modes, which is normal behavior. If this affects gameplay, switch to software-based customization.

How do I revert to a previous firmware version?

From the app home page, press the controller icon, enter the firmware update page, choose other versions, then select the previous stable version.

Does overcharging damage the battery?

All GameSir controllers have overcharge protection; charging stops automatically when the battery is full, and the indicator usually turns off when fully charged.
