Companion Software and Firmware Update
- Download the GameSir Nexus software from the Microsoft Store on Xbox or PC, or from the official website.
- Use the software to update firmware and create three custom configuration profiles.
- Profiles include button remapping, stick and trigger zone adjustment, vibration level, and lighting effect settings.
- If a back button value set via the software differs from manual settings, the most recent one is adopted and directly replaces the previous one.
- The official FAQ page recommends updating the firmware to version 1.63 when encountering connection or button issues.
FAQ
Connection constantly drops during gameplay
Try another cable, ensuring it is fully inserted; try other ports, preferably on the back of the PC; then update the firmware to version 1.63 via the GameSir Nexus software or the manual update tool. If the problem persists, the port itself might be faulty, and the controller may need replacement.
Controller does not work when connected to Xbox
First, ensure the cable is fully inserted. Then, perform a hard shutdown of the console by pressing the power button for more than ten seconds, and repeat the shutdown after unplugging for thirty seconds. Short-press the logo button, then try pressing and holding it for more than five seconds. If unsuccessful, press the logo button + M button for three seconds to restore device recognition, or press the logo button + Share button for three seconds to force Xbox input mode.
Stick drifts or trigger does not respond correctly
Perform the stick and trigger calibration as described in the Calibration section, and refer to the calibration video posted on the official support page.
Face buttons, D-pad, or top button record wrong inputs
Press and hold the View, Menu, and M buttons for five seconds to reset functions, and ensure firmware is updated to version 1.63.
Headset or microphone does not work after connecting to the controller
Insert the plug fully until it settles in the jack, and try inserting it slowly until you hear a click. Set audio output in device settings to uncompressed stereo, set the polling rate to 250Hz, ensure microphone mute is disabled, and adjust volume using the M button + D-pad combination. If the problem persists, try another headset.
Stick moves by itself when I set the dead zone to zero
This is normal, as zero is a physically perfect dead zone, making the stick highly sensitive. Adjust the value between three and five to return to normal behavior.
Back buttons do not work
The back buttons have no default values and provide no input before programming; the programming method is explained in the Programming the Back Buttons section.
How do I control lighting directly from the controller
Press the M button + Left Stick right or left to cycle between four lighting effects; press the M button + Left Stick up or down to increase/decrease brightness among five levels. The lighting effect remains saved after restart, but brightness does not.
What is the difference between Kaleid and Kaleid Flux models
The Kaleid model uses microswitches for face buttons, while the Kaleid Flux model uses membrane buttons. The models also differ in inner faceplate pattern and default light strip colors.
Game service subscription code did not work or appeared as used
The code is valid for new subscribers only and does not work if used previously. If you are a new subscriber and received a message stating the code is used, record the activation process via video and contact support for a replacement code.
Documentation Notes
- The requirements line in the printed manual mentions Xbox devices and Windows systems only, while the specifications table on the official page adds the Steam platform.
- The function reset combination (View + Menu + M for five seconds) comes from the official FAQ page, not the printed manual.
- The recommendation to update firmware to version 1.63 comes from the official FAQ page.
